Original Content Thinking about buying Mario Super Sluggers?

Mario Super Sluggers box art

I love the baseball game that’s included with Wii Sports, but if you’re like me you’ll probably soon be pretty bored of simply swinging and pitching. What about playing the field? Lets not forget how Wii Sports’ baseball game also doesn’t really include any sort of campaign, missions, or unlockable characters. This is where Mario Super Sluggers can fill the void. To be released August 25th, 2008, this Mario sports game looks promising and will hopefully be exactly what us Western’s need to fulfill our desire for the great American past time.

Much like it’s predecessor, Mario Super Sluggers touts several different game modes; four to be exact.

Ingenious: an NES cartridge that plays NES games

NES cartridge that plays NES games

"Darkeru from the Ben Heck forums came up with the idea for this beauty, and after months of "careful planning," finally finished his creation. It's exactly what you think it is; a mod that plays NES games on a NES game cartridge. What an ingeniously simple idea (though if we really think about it, our brains might implode)."

So simple but sooooo cool.

Wii pole dancing is coming your way
Posted on 05/07/2008 at 09:15 AM

"A few weeks ago, Peekaboo Pole Dancing, the company behind the Carmen Electra pole dancing kit (the “Electra-pole”), announced that they are seeking a partner to license a pole dancing game for the Wii.

The announcement had many wondering, “Why?” According to Peekaboo, it’s all about… exercise.

When I inquired about further details, Simon Kay, a rep for Peekaboo and licensing agency AT New Media told me via e-mail: “Peekaboo will be all about fun and fitness for a new generation. Peekaboo wants to make the fitness benefits of aerobic pole dancing accessible to millions of Wii users. The goal is to encourage men and women of all shapes and sizes to improve their pole dancing skills while having fun, toning up and burning calories. Ultimately Peekaboo and AT New Media want to do for pole dancing what ‘Guitar Hero‘ did for rock n roll!”

I hope it all works out for them. I can see this thing being a huge piece of crap. I'm also glad MTV is running the story... Read more

Assassin's Creed makes its way to the PC; includes many bugs
Posted on 04/15/2008 at 12:04 PM

In case you're new to the pickle, I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan and couldn't get enough of the game. I have yet to play the DS version (need to finish FF III first), but the 360 release is amazing so I'm hoping the same for its DS counterpart. The PC version, however, is suppose to be a direct port of the 360/PS3 release. Although I haven't tried it myself, the game is apparently full of bugs, to the point that it makes the game unplayable.

"When we found out that Assassin's Creed would be coming to PCs, and that the game would be distributed through Steam, everyone was happy. PC gamers get a quality title and fans of Steam don't have to leave the house to buy the game. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like much care was put into the PC port, and problems have begun popping up all over the Internet. Let's take a look at some of the mistakes made.

First, the menus and UI are all very console-ized. This might not be a bad thing, but when it takes so friggin' long to exit the game that t... Read more

This video is a bit lame BUT it did get me hyped. I can't wait. I also love the hum of the Xbox in the background.
